Insomniac Games Leak Reveals PlayStation Studios' PC Game Sales

A recent leak of documents and materials from Insomniac Games has unveiled the sales figures of PlayStation Studios' games on PC. According to the leaked information, the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn leads the pack with sales of 3.3 million copies, followed by God of War (2018) with 2.5 million copies sold. Days Gone achieved sales of 1.7 million copies, and the PC remaster of Marvel's Spider-Man has sold 1.3 million copies.

Interestingly, sales of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure were the lowest, with 483 thousand, 450 thousand, and 62 thousand copies sold, respectively. It's important to note that these figures only account for sales through Steam, even though the ports are also available on the Epic Game Store.

The development of the PC version of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart garnered attention, with Sony spending $2.6 million on the project, which took about five months. The port was expected to sell 800 thousand copies and generate a profit of $20 million.

The next release from PlayStation Studios for PC will be Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition. Sony noted that if the cost of porting a game is less than $30 million, studio funding can be secured with just an email approval.
