STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Possibly Releasing on PC

Japanese retailers like Neowing have prematurely disclosed details about the upcoming release of the STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy. For the first time, GSC Game World's famed series, including Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat, is set to be accessible not only on consoles but is also expected to make its way to PC, broadening the franchise's reach significantly.

STALKER Legends of the Zone Trilogy

The trilogy is slated for a PlayStation 4 release on June 27, but its appearance on Xbox platforms and potentially on PC is also anticipated. Additional details may be unveiled in today’s Xbox Partner Showcase.

While a graphical overhaul of the games is not expected, with store page screenshots resembling the original versions, PC players will likely continue to benefit from various graphics-enhancing mods, maintaining the classic appeal.

The STALKER trilogy offers a deep dive into the survival horror FPS genre, set in the perilously altered Chernobyl zone, recreated based on real interviews. With the 'A-Life' system enabling independent NPC actions and innovative FPS elements like resource management, the collection is expected to introduce the series to a wider audience.

The release on consoles, and potentially soon on PC, aims to familiarize new players with the STALKER universe ahead of the highly anticipated sequel's release scheduled for September 5 on PC and Xbox Series S|X.
