Since announcing The Elder Scrolls VI in 2018, fans have eagerly awaited news on the continuation of the acclaimed RPG series.

Bethesda has confirmed that early playable builds of The Elder Scrolls VI are in progress, indicating steady development. However, considering the release of Starfield six months ago and the upcoming DLC for it, an early release for The Elder Scrolls VI seems unlikely.

Phil Spencer from Xbox has mentioned that the game will not launch before 2028, suggesting a significant interval since the series' previous installment, Skyrim. This reflects Bethesda's extensive development cycle typical for its large-scale projects. Despite the long wait, Bethesda aims to ensure that The Elder Scrolls VI meets fan expectations and introduces new realms to explore in the storied franchise.
