Unofficial Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC Port in Development, Already Impressive

An unofficial PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is currently in the works and is already running smoothly in its early stages.

Reported today by PC_Focus on X/Twitter, modders are reverse-engineering the leaked PC dev build of the game to create an unofficial PC port that is already running at 60 FPS, albeit without textures and interface elements. Despite being filled with glitches at this point, what these developers have achieved with this unofficial port is highly impressive.

According to leaked information last month, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be coming to PC sometime after April, marking the end of this Fiscal Year's development for the port. Additionally, this port is set to be Insomniac's most expensive one to date, so it will be intriguing to see how it enhances the already impressive PlayStation 5 release, as highlighted in Alessio's review.
