AMD Threadripper 7000 CPUs set new records in PassMark database, 7995WX model is 63% faster than predecessor

Thanks to the Zen 4 architecture, the new AMD Threadripper 7000 CPUs have set new performance records in the PassMark benchmark among all x86 processors. In particular, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7995WX model with 96 cores showed an impressive result of 158,518 points, making it the fastest processor in the PassMark database. In addition, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7985WX model with 64 cores scored 141,956 points, which is 46% higher than the previous generation Threadripper PRO 5995WX with the same number of Zen 3 cores. The 7995WX model improved performance by 63% thanks to having 50% more cores compared to its predecessor.

AMD Threadripper 7000

Other processors of this series were also presented, including the AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7975WX model with 32 cores, which scored 100,760 points. This result is significantly higher than the previous generation model 5975WX, as well as higher than the model 5995WX. Compared to previous models, all processors of the AMD Threadripper 7000 series showed a significant increase in performance:

AMD continues to demonstrate its leadership in the workstation and professional systems segment with the release of their next-generation Threadripper 7000 CPUs. The CPUs are expected to hit retail on November 21, so more information about the Threadripper 7000 series can be expected in the coming weeks.
