AMD FSR support is now integrated into Epic's Unreal Engine

amd fsr hero

  • Ultra Quality: r.ScreenPercentage 77.
  • Quality: r.ScreenPercentage 67.
  • Balanced: r.ScreenPercentage 59.
  • Performance: r.ScreenPercentage 50.

Nvidia GeForce Game Ready: ray tracing and DLSS for ICARUS

0543a8eff8a8eec87ac6b8b891b197453e76919c11eb419a987e52033e2fc7e3 1

The new NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready drivers  set the stage for ICARUS, an intriguing sci-fi co-op survival game for eight players, releasing on December 3rd.

In addition to ICARUS support, the new drivers include DLSS for Chorus and optimized profiles for Farming Simulator 22, Halo Infinite, Inscryption, Ruined King: A League of Legends Story and Crab Game. It also adds 6 monitors to the ranks of G-Sync compatible displays Below is a list of specific models:

  • ASUS XG27UQR
  • Dell G2722HS
  • Dell G3223D
  • Dell G2422HS
  • LG 32PG750
  • MSI G273

Issues fixed:

  • Red Dead Redemption 2  and  DOOM Eternal  crashed from TDR or system crashed when launching the game.
  • Image distortion when starting the game DOOM 3 BFG Edition;
  • Games did not run correctly on GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphics cards when NVIDIA image scaling was enabled.
  • YouTube was randomly displaying excessive contrast/gamma when idle or during video playback.
  • After performing a clean install of the driver or installing over version 496.49, NVIDIA Image Scaling resolutions were not displayed in games;
  • Some Optimus laptops with a 1440p@165Hz display may experience a black screen in discrete GPU mode;
  • On laptops, the eDP panel could not light up when booting to the desktop after switching to discrete mode;
  • Using adaptive vertical sync with G-Sync enabled could result in an occasional black screen.

Known issues:

  • Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition does not change the resolution and the game exits IFlip mode. To apply the new resolution, press Alt + Tab;
  • In Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance and Supreme Commander 2, performance drops when moving the mouse;
  • Deathloop   crashes with driver when playing with Windows HDR enabled ;
  • Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed may crash on tracks where players are riding on water;
  • On systems with multiple monitors, the display may show an occasional black screen flicker;
  • Mouse pointer gets stuck after enabling HDR in Windows Control Panel or after toggling G-Sync in NVIDIA Control Panel. Workaround: click the mouse (right or left button) - the mouse cursor will be slow for a few seconds and return to normal operation;
  • After setting the display multiplexer type to dGPU in the NVIDIA Control Panel, the setting is not saved when rebooting or resuming from S4 mode;
  • The screen moves to the top left corner on cold boot when image scaling is applied to the desktop;
  • When image scaling is enabled, video playback is garbled or results in a system hang after an HDR transition is performed in DirectX 11 video applications using NVIDIA Image Scaling.

AMD Adrenalin 21.12.1: driver update fixes bugs and adds support for Halo Infinite

189432557O

AMD has announced the release of a new version of the Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition graphics driver that promises to deliver enhanced gaming experiences for ICARUS and Fortnite.

In addition, the current update improves performance when playing Halo Infinite @ 4K Ultra Settings (up to 16% on Radeon RX 6700 XT | 19% on Radeon RX 6800 XT | 17% on Radeon RX 6900 XT) compared to the previous 11.21 update .3.

In addition to these changes, the current version resolves crashes that occur when launching SteamVR Home on Radeon VII cards and fixes driver timeouts experienced during Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy gameplay on Radeon RX 5500 XT configurations.

Last but not least, AMD was able to implement Blender 3.0 support on the Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards, as well as fix the logo/license plate corruption seen in Forza Horizon 5 (on the Radeon RX 500 series).

Issues fixed:

  • Some users may experience a crash when launching SteamVR Home on some AMD graphics products such as Radeon™ VII Graphics.
  • While playing Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy™, some users may experience driver timeouts on certain AMD graphics products such as the Radeon™ RX 5500 XT Graphics.
  • When playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds™ with multiple displays connected in Advanced Mode, the Radeon™ Software may become unresponsive when the user is in the lobby and tries to open the Radeon Software on the secondary display via the context menu.
  • Visual damage may be seen on the vehicle logo or license plate while playing Forza Horizon 5™ on certain AMD graphics products such as the Radeon™ RX 500 series graphics cards.

Known issues:

  • After updating to the latest Radeon™ software, the Power Tuning component of a saved tuning profile may not load correctly when a user imports a previously saved tuning profile.
  • Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to appear when enabled with some games and system configurations. Any users who may experience issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a workaround.
  • Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report very high and incorrect memory clock rates.
