Hogwarts Legacy Developers Celebrate 22 Million Copies Sold!

The developers of Hogwarts Legacy proudly announced that the sales of their role-playing action game have surpassed 22 million copies. The latest 2 million were sold in December during a special holiday discount, according to David Haddad, the head of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

The publisher is delighted with the achieved result and expresses great joy in the success of Avalanche Software, the studio behind the game. Hogwarts Legacy has captured the interest of "Harry Potter" franchise fans, who spent a staggering 707 million hours in the virtual world in 2023. They brewed 819 million potions, collected 1.3 billion plants, saved 593 million magical creatures, and defeated 4.9 billion dark wizards.

Hogwarts Legacy was released on February 10, 2023, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Within the first two weeks, the sales exceeded 12 million copies. In May, versions for PS4 and Xbox One were released, and in November, Hogwarts Legacy made its way to Nintendo Switch.
